As I gazed out the window, the indigo sky seemed to mirror the turmoil brewing inside me. The stars twinkling through the wispy clouds felt like a distant memory, a reminder of a time when life was simpler. The hostel building was shrouded in silence, but the tension in our room was suffocating. Aditi and I had been back for an hour, but my mind was still reeling from the horror we'd witnessed. I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease, and the weight of what we'd seen hung heavy in the air, like an unspoken secret.
