As I stepped out of the corridor and into the garden, the cool breeze wrapped around me like a gentle hug. I sank onto a wooden bench beneath a towering tree, its leafy canopy a soothing balm for my frazzled nerves. The soft rustle of leaves above me echoed the turmoil brewing inside. My eyes still smarted, wet with unshed tears, as I struggled to process the harsh words that had cut deep.
