As I gently placed my hand on Aditi's shoulder, I called out her name in a soft voice, trying not to startle her further. But my touch seemed to have the opposite effect. She jumped slightly, her eyes widening in surprise as she spun around to face me. For a fleeting moment, I saw a flash of something - anxiety, fear, or perhaps unease - before she composed herself, her features smoothing out as she brushed a strand of hair behind her ear.
