Ahsaas's POV:
Dinner had ended quietly.
The warmth of the food still lingered in the air around the small roadside dhaba, along with the comforting smell of butter, smoke, and spices drifting from the tandoor. The few customers sitting at distant tables had begun finishing their meals, their conversations low and unhurried under the soft yellow lights hanging from the tin roof.
For a brief while, everything had felt almostโฆ normal.
Almost peaceful.
By the time we finished, the quiet dhaba felt almost peaceful.
