The room around us seemed to blur at the edges, fading into the background until I was aware of only fragmentsโthe soft rustle of fabric, the sound of our breathing, the weight of his presence. Every sensation felt amplified, carrying with it months of longing, unanswered questions, and emotions I had spent far too long trying to ignore.
My grip on him tightened further.
Not because I wanted distance.
Because I didn't.
Because after six months of memories, nightmares, anger, confusion, and missing him more than I ever wanted to admit, having him here felt dangerously overwhelming.
